Going from Peru to NewCal the long way

All the travelling in South America was very very exhausting, and I kinda got fed up a little to be honest. One always underestimates the immense distances of this continent, and minutes of planned driving can easily turn into hours... just to get to another kite spot!

Since it really took us quite some time to get till the very north of Peru, to Mancora, we basically had only 5 full days of kiting. 2 days, the wind was really good, and I got some nice waves in Los Lobitos. I could defenitely see the great potential, and if this place was not at the end of the world, it would soon be more popular than Brazil. The quality of the waves is simply top of the top, and the lifestyle is very relaxed and chilled. For less than 30€ a day you can sleep, eat and drive anywhere you want. Megacheap...

Whenever there was no wind, I went surfing. I really improved my skills, and I had lots of fun. At the end I broke my brand new board on the reef :-( The locals were a little uneasy, but that got sorted out too. No idea what their problem is ;-) Since the light was not very good for pictures or filming, we just enjoyed the trip for ourselves, which was also really nice once in a while! I wanna thank Raph once again, for helping us out, and showing us around in Lima. This really made our trip, thanx!!! Cant wait to be back next year! Now we will be non-stop flying for 7 days: first to Europe, then a 36h stopover to change and repack, and then many more flights to get to the last PKRA worldcup tourstops of the year in NewCaledonia and Australia. I will give you an update from the paradise in the South Pacific!
