Videoshoot Zafarana

After a 12h drive and not even 24h at home I was already on my way from Innsbruck via Vienna to Cairo where I was invited by Fone to join the VideoShoot at the Fone Station of Ibi&Friends in Zafarana. The 3 hour transfer from Cairo to the station was pretty exhausting but once arrived, everything was cool and super relaxed. Eli Zarka from Israel, Randy Hereman from Holland, Pauline Boussard from France, Daniel Alvarez from Spain and me were invited to produce the latest Freestyle Video for Fone. Joining us were 4 cameraman and fotographers with brand new equipment and a Super-HD-Slow-Motion-Cam...

The first day started pretty nice for me. I had the nicest morning session on my 14 totally alone on the water. All the tricks went extremely smooth... The new 2009 Acid does not only look super sick but it is also one of the best boards I have ever ridden so far. Not too hard, great pop, early planing and good upwind abilities just make it the perfect board for me! We also have the newst Trax and TX with us, using them for videos and pictures... pretty nice how early they plane and speed up!!!!

Today is the second day here and the wind is here all day long! We started filming at 7 in the morning to get the good morning light. I was on my 10, enjoying the perfect conditions... We just experienced everything in 6 exhausting kiting hours: High Jumps with grabs and board-offs, powerfull wakestyle, great double-passes and of course hurtfull wipeouts... and everything on camere :-) The whole team is really cooperating in a great manner and is willing to produce a nice movie!

Ibi and Kikki from the station here take care of us super nice, and the forecast for the next days once again is looking great... So we will definetly have some more days like today! And if the internet is not fully giving up, I can keep you up to date!! The video should be ready mid-may, lets see if they really ar going to be that fast! For sure it will be very impressive!!!

Cheers

Jule
