The Maldives - And Paradise has been found...
My dream did not come true... I had only hoped for a few days of light wind, just to get some kite sessions in... and what happened? Everything came different, as it was JUST AN ABSOLUTE PERFECT UNFORGETABLE GREAT TRIP!!! I had wind except for one day, and sometimes even lit on the 10. On the Nautilus we shipped from island to island, and kited in Atolls that nobody had ever been kiting in before...The water ist hat turquoise as you know it form the pictures, and the wind blows as constant as if a fan would be creating it. The water is mirror flat behind all the little islands and lagoons, and the Maldives, a possible candidate for one of the World Wonders will just leave an unforgetable impression! The reefs surrounding the atolls provide with some of the cleanest waves I have ever seen on our planet. Hardly ever before I cant wait to ride this spot again!
Most of all I want to thank Alois Männer from the Nautilus Dive Company as without him nothing of this would have ever been possible. Together we set up a plan to hold 2 kite boat safaris, so that each 12 kiters would be able to experience this as well. The first tour will be held in the first two weeks in May, the second one in the first two weeks of September. The price of only 2.200€ will include an All-Incl. Package with flight, transfers, food, boat, test gear, etc... If you are interested or have further questions, do not hesitate to contact either me or the Nautilus Dive Company. Now I am on my way back home for only a week, from where I will travel to the other end of the world: South America. I will give you the next update from there!
