Red Bull Croatia - Day 2&3
Since there was no wind yesterday I used the day to get all my material in shape, especially the new 15qm kite and to prepare the new SU-2 board for the kicker! However, most of the time we just chilled :-)Today we actually did not really expect a lot of wind. However the wind-god was pretty nice with us and gave as enough knots so I could use my 15. Which was pretty funny as I cant even remember when was the last time I had used anything bigger than 13. The competiton would work like that: 14 riders from whole Europe were drawn into a fixed order and so we were hitting the kicker in this specific order for an hour to show off our tricks!
However the impressive thing was that both kickers (launching platforms) wer set over land. So we had to clear 3-7 meters of hard land until we could land in the water again! You can probably imagine how high the adrenaline was, however it was so much fun and at the end I even made several rotations over the 2,5m high kicker and cleared the land after it with ease… Get ready for some sick pics :-)
At night I had a professional fotoshooting with a fotographer of RedBull! The day was pretty exhausting and I am really tired now! If there is wind tomorrow we will run more heats! The forecast is similar as today! Sadly I cant show you any pictures as they are on copyright protection… But I can promise you, they are totally sick… you will have to wait for official publications :-)
