PKRA Venezuela - DAY10 - 9th after the Singles
Riders meeting was planned for 10 AM however we did not start until 12. I was seeded as number 11 and so I had good chances of getting a good draw. I received a local rider from El Yaque of which one never know what kind of things these guys can do!My Heat was mediocre: BlindJudge3, Backmobe, grabbed KGB, Switch BlindJudge3, Frontmobe, and Switchfrontmobe. I tried a Frontmobe to blind at the end, however I had to cancel in the middle. I had a good feeling, as I had two switch tricks, good style and one trick with grab. The Venezuelan kid was not so strong and so I was able to prove my role as the favorite and won!
In the second round I was up against Tarifa local Alex Pastor. I took my 11, which I did not figure out until after the heat, that it was a little to small. I knew I had to show everything I got or you wont beat the current number 6 of the world. I had one of my best heats ever: Backmobe, BlindJudge3, Switch-Backmobe, Switch Blindjudge3, Slim, grabbed KGB, Frontmobe, Switchfrontmobe, 313 and Switch 313. At the end I threw out a Frontmobe to blind, hoever I did not know if it was enough as Alex did a lot of good tricks as well! At the beach I was informed that I lost, I was disappointed but I knew it was no shame loosing against the later Nr. 3 of this
Tomorrow the comp will be held in El Yaque where they will do the rest of the competition. On Friday it will be my turn in the Doubles again, where I will have to beat Russian supermodel Peter Tuyskevich to defend my 9th place. It will be super though to beat the Nr. 3 of France, but for sure I will give my best! Thanx for everything who is crossing their fingers for me! Check back… I will keep you up to date!
