PKRA Fuerteventura - Day4 - Kitecrash in Single!!!
Today the Single Elimination was planned. Since I was super prepared for strong 5qm winds, I was even more surprised as we had pretty ligh wind, just for the 7! My luck on the draw could have been better, as I had Reno Romeo from Brazil. But I was sure I could win, as I trained a lot, and felt well.I started my heat perfect: massiv powered Blindjudge3 with the Switch One on the way back. I just wanted to pass the next Backmove as my safety leash got stuck on my bar, and my kite looped. I had the worst crash ever, my kite before me into the water. I exected the worst as I did not feel any kitepower after the crash anymore. And the worst case szenario became true, the kite was completely devastated due to the incredible crash. :-( Since I was about 250m from the beach with offshore winds I urgently called a Jetski to pick me up and take me to a second kite, pumped up on the beach. Gisela Pulido was so nice as to lend me her 7, so I did not have to take my 5. I still had 3 minutes on the clock, and a friend told me, that Reno did no ride so well. So I kicked out another 2 BAckmobes and 2 Frontmobes until time was up. Reno did not show much, so I had a pretty good feeling that maybe it was still enough, even though I lost 4 minutes with the crash.
However I was shocked as my sister told me super pissed that I was disqualified! WHYYYY????? Because the jetski helped me within the judging area… well, I thought, if he did not help me, I would have almost drowned in the flying water, and lost anyways. But I was really pissed as I as prepared for everything exept for a broken kite. My day was gone, I was really disappointed and kiting a little did not help much to make me feel better. But I have to be ready for the Doubles, my first heat will be against a guy from Spain. Here you can see the Live-Results!
I just hope that my bad luck is leaving me soon, I dont even want to get superlucky, just to get rid of my bad luck… this is not a state of living right now ;-)
