PKRA Chile - Day6 Double
9. Platz nach der Double
The forecast for the next and also last two days was billiant! Therefore the plans of the Event-organizer was to finish the Double Elimination of the Freestyle first and do the Wave Competition afterwards when the strong winds push up the waves even more!In order to keep my 9th place from the Single I had to win 2 heats first. I won both by far against the two locals :-) Afterwards I had to go against the Top5 seeded rider Mallory de la Villamarque! My 9th place was 100% so I entered this heat without any great hopes, since I was the big underdog against him!
However I started strong with BlindJudge3, Backmobe, SwitchBackmobe, Slim, 313, Switch 313, SwitchBlindJudge3, and KGB. Mallory also had some really powered Handlepasses, so we were about the same! I had to show the Frontmobe and the SwitchFrontmobe in order to take the lead! However this time is proved how much cold water and freezing air is nagging on ones performance! Everytime I passed the bar it snapped out of my hand cause my fingers were like dead due to the cold! Mallory as well struggled a lot showing a good performance! On the way back to the beach I knew we were riding at about the same level, maybe Mallory a little more powered... 4:1 decision for him! Even though I was a little pissed to loose another close heat I was really happy to get a Top10 result and tehrefor price money at such a difficult and also breathtaking spot.
We had planned to already leave one day earlier however since we would not get the price money untill tomorrow midday, we would have to spend another night here! So tomorrow we are going to go to Santiago as soon as the price giving ceremony is over and spend one night there! On Sunday morning we fly to Brazil and sleep one night there because my flight to Spain goes to early! On monday I leave to Tarifa to stay there for the BEST teamrider meeting untill Sunday. The forecast ist he bomb: 40 kts Levante every day!!!!! STTRRRIKKKKEEEE!!!!! Finally some sick powerd session on my 7 again! So, whoever has no plans for next week, check Tarifa!!!!! ;-)
As soon as I am in Brazil on Sunday, I will update my site again!

ne, des mit den endresultaten stimmt noch nit... da muss ma no a bissl warten... weil da werden ergebnisse noch gestrichen!!!
