At the riders meeting at 11 AM the competition for today was already called off since the weather was really bad and therefore no wind was expected! So all the riders were planning a roadtrip to Santiago! It was a perfect change of lifestyle compared to the competitions! We visited some shopping malls and also surfed in an artificial wave! Riders meeting was at 11:30 AM, but the Freestylers were released immediately, because they wanted to finish the wavecompetition as soon wind would hit in! PKRA Chile - Day3 Single
The wind woke us up already early. The weather was shining, and it was pretty warm in the wind shadows just like yesterday! Meeting was held at 11:30 AM but I was there already a little earlier to pump up my kites, since my heat against Rocky was already the 2nd heat of this day! The wind was up and down all the time... every sice between 7 and 13 would have been perfect for 5 minutes... PKRA Chile - Day2
When I woke up at 8AM I only saw clouds in the sky and was already thinking: damn, no wind for today one more time (according to the locals the termical winds would only hit in with the sun) But shortly afterwards while I was brushing my teeths on the beacht he clouds broke and the sun hit! PKRA Chile - Day1
Altough the forecast was actually pretty well for today, the wind god was not nice to us, so the whole day was without wind! We were called fort he riders meeting at 12 and sent back home at 3 PM! Brazil - Kitecamp Curu
I was already really excited to finally test the new spot 30 minutes further north! Therefore we already left Taiba at 8 AM to spend the whole day up there! The spot lies, embedded within 2 big river deltas, totally privat (therefore not public for everyone) on a length of 4 kilometers as one of the incest beaches on this planet! Brazil - Taiba
Today we wanted to rip at Taiba again! So we left already at 9 AM to the lagune, so me and Mike could train all by ourselves! It was like a dream! First a session on 11, then in the afternoon one on the 9! Then Alvaro joined us, and the three of us trained totally motivated and pushed each other to new efforts! PKRA Brazil - Back home
The last week up here north was pretty cool: nice people, sick action and I spent my last days with some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my life: Ralf and Eve! Ahead of us were some more perfect days with this couple back in Taiba! We left Paranaiba at 9 AM! Thank god we did not have to take the shuttle for it would have taken more than 10 hours fort hese 500 km, while it took us only 5hours with Ralfs 4x4! PKRA Brazil - Single
Riders meeting was set for 11 AM! First we had to do trials, and afters the singles! More than the quantitiy of the riders was the quality of all those who had to go through trials: Rocky, Marc, Ariel, Alex Pastor, Alex Soto, me, all the Brazilian locals, Reno,... so the trials will not be easy, and with my incredible luck I also got an easy round :-( having to go against Ariel Corniel (PKRA Champion in Cabarete) and the British rider Sam Light! 2 riders would advance, the other one would have to go to the loosers round!Continue reading Comments (0) 22.09.2007. 14:18
