Kiteevent in Melbourne

The flights to get here, were really one of the longest ones in my life. First I finished my Round The World Ticket from Los Angeles to Tokyo, and then I flew via Bangkok and Singapore to Melbourne. The Australian Championship was held here at the beach of St. Kilda, and I was invited as one of the guests of honor. They even used me for their flyer which is a pretty big honor considering how far away I am from...

The spot is not entirely perfect, as one has to kite in a small harbor which makes the wind pretty gusty and pretty choppy. I was also quite unlucky with the wind, but I made the most out of those 3 days kiting, getting my riding pretty much back on track!!! Jac and me went sightseeing into the city, and I used the time pretty good to finish some work. So the whole time here was pretty well organized, and the kite level was thanx to the event super high!!! That gives everybody a good preview for the upcoming worldcup in November in Queensland! I talked to the event organizers alot, and everything seems to be 100% confirmed!

Now I am already on another plane on my way to the west coast to Perth, where I got invited to another event called Kitestock. Aside of that I wanna get riding myself alot too, and get some great shots with my new waterhousing with Jac! I have installed you a new Gallery with some pictures from Melbourne. Of course I will update it regularily during the next 2 weeks that I am still here!!
