F-ONE Kite Camp Cape Verde 2011

Coming back to the Cape Verdes after quite a long time is one of the best feelings. Only a few spots on our planet provide such great kiting and surfing conditions as here. Freestylers and Waveriders enjoy an incredible here. Together with 12 Dutchies I held the 5th F-ONE Kite Camp here on the island. We had so incredibly much fun, it is inexplicable. Everybody improved heaps, and had good laughs...

Even though of all the work and time with the group, I had time and space to enjoy some of my stay on my own. Together with Etienne I went surfing... first an amazing morning session at 7 AM after a crazy party, and right afterward another Backhand session in Palmeario. It was defenitely one of my best surf sessions in my life, and considering that I am not used to lefthanders I did extremely well. The water was quite shallow, being only kneedeep... so not much space for errors ;-) Check out some nice pictures in the Gallery ! Photocredit goes to myself, and Klaas from the F-ONE Camp. I am home now for just a couple of hours, pack some new stuff, and leave to Thailand for the start of the worldcup. From there I will fly to Mexico and Marocco. I will give you an update with the Camp Video in a couple of day!
