Bad luck in Single

Start for Freestyle was set at 3 PM, but bevor that there was Racing, and the Trials had to be done for the Freestyle... I did not have to and I did not want to compete in either one of them, so I had to awesome sessions on my 9, and I got used to the spot and the gusty conditions! At 2 PM was the draw: I was really lucky again (haha) and got the Worlds number 4 and absolute toprider Mallory de la Villemarque.

I was the absolute underdog... but I did not want to loose by a lot either... The wind was like playing in the lottery: Ex-teammate Pile was out on his 9, when the wind did not have any power at all, so he lost against a defenitely weaker rider...bad luck! I went out on my 9 as well... Mallory so too! Start... Green Flag up! I pulled off immediately a Switch Mobe5 right in front of the Judging Tower! On the way back I had the other Move5! Afterwards the sweetst Frontmobe ever, full throttle, both hands on the bar... Slim, Switch Slim, Blind Judge3 and a 313... Time was up, 7 minutes flew by like seconds! I head a big time heat, I felt great... 2 Switch moves, well powered, lets see....

I was waitig for the outcome of the judges decision, and I was really optimistic: A lot of my friends on the beach saw me winning... HOWEVER: Mallory wins in a 2:1 decision against me! I was really dissapointed... I walked up to Samy Gally, Headjudge of the PKRA, to see the judging sheets... I could not believe my eyes: some judges had missed some defining moves, and saw Mallory winning by an inch! The judge who had me winning, got all my tricks! I was totally pissed, protested, but no result. This was the first time for me, what had happened to a lot of riders before in the PKRA: I lost due to a less famous name, where another rider would have gotten a rerun, I was tricked... Even if I had deserved it, I did not get the rerun!

I was so mad, totally pissed, and completely disappointed! Of course Mallory is the better rider, but at this point, in this specific heat, I was the better rider! Shit happens... Sometimes you loose, and sometimes the others win ;-) I went out for a sweet evening session, to work all my bad feelings, and afterwards we went home!

Tomorrow they will finish the single, afterwards there will be the Double! Im well prepared on small kites and these conditions here, so I am really motivated! Lets see what will be possible!
