arrival fuerte
The last days have been pretty exhausting and totally chaotic! First, I have been one week to England, where it was just raining, I was nearly flooded, and then on the 27th of July I had my flight back home to Salzburg, from where a friend of mine (big thanx to Hansi at this point) took me to my hometown Innsbruck... I arrived at home at 11 PM... Nexte moring the alarm gets me out of sleep at 7 AM... Packing... Stress... Departure to Munich at 11 AM, a small breakfast to kill the little hunger... GO ( At this poingt at very Big Thanx to Marion for the Transfer and the psychologic support) Flight sets off to Fuerteventura at 4 PM!My Ex-Teammate Pile (yeah, some of you might have noticed, that I am not riding for Carved anymore) was supposed to meet me at the airport at 8 PM! In Tarifa that did not work... so I was not really optimistic... however: Pile was there waiting for me... Perfect!
So we left pack with our stuff towards the South... the only problem: at 9 PM on Saturday every housing was already closed... Only way out: Hotel... they wanted 30 Euros per night... we finally agreed... and unbelievable: All Inclusive... Cool! That was a real bargain! The rooms were amazing, and the food delicious! Sadly, we were only allowed to stay for two nights, even after long attempts to persuade them!
Really tired we fell into our beds! The next morning we looked for a new place to sleep, but we could not find anything that was opened on Sunday... Obviously the Spanish took it too serious with the Day Off on Sunday! So we went kiting: The wind was just strange: Calima... the hot (and I mean so hot, like if someone was right behind you with a hairdryer) wind coming from africa hit us with 30 knots... perfect for 7! I was also able to test the new shorts and Lycras from Rodwy... Just perfect for Kitesurfing: Wide, comfortable, nice style... just perfect... I was happy with my new sponsor! The session was awesome... I got used to the small kites, and at night we fell to bed immediately at 8 PM after a great dinner!
Today we had to get up at 8 AM, because the new guests would arrive at our hotel! So we checked this Internet Cafe... And now we have to get us a new place to stay... So stay uptodate! Today evening is Registration, and tomorrow we will start... If there is wind!!!! Today it looks mediocre, let’s hope it will be like yesterday!
Cheers from Fuerte
Jule
PS.: I hope you like the new design... I think it is off the hook!!!!!
